Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 20 October 2026 · Last updated: 20 October 2026
Refund rules at a glance. Unused-key requests made within 24 hours of purchase may qualify for a 100% refund. After successful use, the proposed prorated formula differs for monthly and annual plans. These terms do not remove any remedy required by applicable law. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how to submit a refund request for a ClaudeMax purchase. The operator is ClaudeMax (brand name; legal entity or individual contracting seller not specified). Contact support@claudemax.tech for help with an order. Complete all bracketed fields before publishing.
1. Scope
This policy applies to subscription purchases made directly through the ClaudeMax website, unless the checkout page identifies a different seller or payment arrangement. Purchases made through another platform may also be subject to that platform’s procedures and terms.
A refund request will be assessed using the order details, purchase timestamp, subscription term, available access records, and the information supplied by the Customer. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. How to submit a request
Email support@claudemax.tech from the email address associated with the order. Include:
- Order or transaction reference.
- Subscription plan and purchase date.
- The email or account identifier used at checkout.
- A concise description of the request and any relevant error or service issue.
The request timestamp recorded by our support system will be used to determine whether a request falls within the 24-hour unused-key window and to establish the calculation date for a prorated request. We will confirm receipt where reasonably practicable. Customers should keep the confirmation for their records.
3. Full refund for an unused key within 24 hours
A Customer may qualify for a 100% refund of the original subscription price if the request is submitted within 24 hours of the recorded purchase timestamp and the issued access key has not been used to make any successful API request.
For this policy, “unused” means no successful API request has been made using the issued key. Merely viewing, copying, or configuring a key without making a successful request does not by itself count as successful use. The operator should maintain an accurate and auditable method for assessing key usage, particularly where credentials or upstream capacity are shared.
The 24-hour period begins at the purchase timestamp recorded in the order system. The support-system timestamp determines whether the request was submitted within the period. If the last moment of the 24-hour period has passed, the unused-key provision does not apply, subject always to mandatory rights and remedies under applicable law.
Where eligibility is established, the refund will be 100% of the original subscription amount paid for that plan. Refunds will be returned through the original payment method where supported by the payment provider.
4. Monthly subscription refunds after successful use
For an eligible monthly subscription where the key has been successfully used, the proposed prorated calculation is:
Refund = (Original subscription amount × 50% ÷ 30) × Remaining days“Original subscription amount” means the subscription price actually paid for the relevant plan, excluding separately itemized taxes or charges only where exclusion is lawful and accurately disclosed. “Remaining days” means the number of whole calendar days remaining in the paid monthly subscription period at the time the complete refund request is recorded.
Example: for a ₹999 monthly subscription with 12 whole days remaining, the calculation is (₹999 × 50% ÷ 30) × 12 = ₹199.80.
Remaining days will not be less than zero or greater than the number of days in the purchased period. Partial days are not rounded up under this formula unless required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
5. Annual subscription refunds after successful use
For an eligible annual subscription where the key has been successfully used, the proposed prorated calculation is:
Refund = (Original subscription amount × 70% ÷ 365) × Remaining days“Remaining days” means the number of whole calendar days remaining in the paid annual subscription period at the time the complete refund request is recorded. The day count cannot be negative or exceed the actual remaining duration of the subscription.
Example: for a ₹9,999 annual subscription with 180 whole days remaining, the calculation is (₹9,999 × 70% ÷ 365) × 180 = ₹3,452.98.
The 365-day denominator is the contractual calculation basis proposed by this policy. If applicable law or the actual subscription term requires a different calculation, the lawful calculation will apply.
6. Request date and remaining days
The calculation date is the date and time that a complete refund request is recorded by the designated support system. A request sent to an unrelated address or an incomplete message may not be recorded as a complete request until it reaches the designated channel with enough information to identify the order; this rule will not be used to frustrate a timely request or to override applicable law.
Remaining days are counted from the calculation date to the scheduled end of the paid term. The operator should apply the same documented day-count method consistently to comparable requests and communicate the calculation on request.
7. Service failures and incompatible features
Customers who experience a failed key, inability to access a purchased model, material outage, or compatibility issue should contact support with relevant details. We may offer troubleshooting, a compatible alternative, access restoration, a replacement credential, a subscription extension, or another appropriate remedy where available.
API access is not the same as a first-party subscription to a third-party native app. The plan page should clearly describe the access method and any excluded native application features before purchase. If the delivered service materially differs from what was represented at checkout or cannot be supplied as agreed, the Customer may be entitled to a refund or another remedy under applicable law.
8. Credential replacement
Where a credential becomes invalid, ClaudeMax may rotate or replace it if a replacement is available. Credential replacement is a recovery step and does not guarantee uninterrupted upstream service. If the replacement fails to restore the access purchased, the Customer may request further review and any remedy available under this policy and applicable law.
9. Circumstances that do not automatically qualify for a refund
Subject to applicable law, a refund may not be due solely because a Customer changes their mind after using the Service, no longer needs the subscription, chooses not to use remaining time, or encounters a clearly disclosed compatibility limitation in the Customer’s own software or device.
This section does not bar a refund or another remedy where the Service was misrepresented, materially defective, not supplied as agreed, or where applicable law otherwise provides a remedy.
10. Review and decision
We may review purchase records, activation timestamps, available usage logs, subscription dates, error reports, and support correspondence. We may ask for reasonable supporting information needed to verify the transaction or reproduce a technical issue. We will communicate the decision and calculation, where applicable, through the contact channel associated with the request.
11. Refund processing time
After approval, we will submit the refund through the original payment method where supported. The time taken for funds to appear depends on the payment provider, issuing bank, payment method, weekends, and public holidays. We will provide a reference or confirmation when available.
12. Cancellation and renewal
Where the plan requires manual renewal, the Customer may simply choose not to purchase another term. If automatic renewal is offered, the renewal frequency, amount, and cancellation method must be displayed before the Customer opts in. Cancellation prevents future renewals where applicable but does not by itself determine whether the current term qualifies for a refund.
13. Complaints and escalation
If you disagree with the outcome, reply to the decision email or contact support@claudemax.tech with the order reference and the reason for requesting reconsideration. This internal process does not prevent you from approaching a competent consumer authority, court, or other forum where legally entitled.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to payment systems, subscription plans, or operational procedures. The version in effect at the time of purchase will apply to that order, subject to any mandatory legal requirement. Updates will show a revised date and will not retrospectively remove accrued rights.
